TWENTY-NINE DAYS

You wake to a voicemail: the world ends on the 29th, and only you were told. You live alone. You work in the city. The hours the investigation needs are the hours your life already spends, and rent does not care what you found out.

A narrative incremental played in days: allocate your waking hours, keep the job or don't, and decide who to tell.

What it is

Twenty-Nine Days is a narrative incremental game played in text and numbers in your browser. There are no graphics, no combat and no timers asking you to come back tomorrow. The unit is a day, and the only thing you really spend is the sixteen hours you are awake in it.

Those hours are the whole problem. The investigation wants them and so does the job, and the job is what pays the rent that keeps you in the flat where you do the investigating. Drop the work and the money runs out; keep it and the days go past without you learning anything. What you find you can keep to yourself or tell someone, and who you tell decides which of the three endings the 29th arrives as.

Early build - the full arc, six chapters and three endings, about two hours. Progress saves in your browser; your save carries forward as the build is polished.
